Aesop's Fables (Giraffe Fable) ---The Farmer and the Viper
One winter day, a Farmer found a Viper frozen and stiff from the cold. Pitying the creature, he picked it up and placed it inside his coat to warm it against his chest. As soon as the Viper revived from the warmth, it bit the Farmer, delivering a fatal wound. Dying, the Farmer said, "I deserved this fate for taking pity on a scoundrel."
The Moral Warning： Kindness is wasted on the wicked. The fable warns against extending trust or mercy to those who are inherently treacherous or ungrateful, as their nature will not change simply because they have received help.
