A man had a special chicken. Every day, it laid one golden egg. The man was happy at first, but soon he became greedy. He thought, “Why wait for one egg a day? There must be lots of gold inside her.” So he killed the chicken, cut it open — but found no gold at all. And now, he had no more golden eggs.
